This has been a staple coffee for us, and it keeps delivering.
Cesar Higueros initially owned this family farm with his two brothers but took over the operation on his own a few years ago. This magnificent 20 hectare land has 18 water sources, a waterfall and an impressive view of the Acatenango volcano.
Cesar attributes the success of his farm to the quality of the water, good selection of shade trees as well as the quality of the relationships he maintains with his pickers.
He hires 10 families of pickers who return for each harvest. In 2020, he showed us around his most recent investment, a brand new wet mill which was used for the first time for the 2021 harvest. We noticed more vibrancy and cleanliness in his coffees since he started using these new facilities.
